UGC Chairman Professor M Jagadish Kumar said that after six years, the syllabus of UGC NET exam is being changed. The change in the syllabus has been approved in the UGC Council meeting held on November 3.
There is going to be a change in the syllabus of the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NET) for becoming Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) in universities after six years. Experts of the University Grants Commission (UGC) have prepared a new syllabus for all 83 subjects of the UGC NET exam under the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. UGC Council has also approved it. It is likely to be implemented from June next year.
There was a change in the year 2017: Professor Kumar told that earlier in the year 2017, the syllabus of UGC NET was changed. After this the new education policy came into force, hence under NEP a new syllabus of all 83 subjects of UGC NET has been prepared. The committee of experts has focused on multidisciplinary approach and holistic education in the new syllabus.
Examination is held twice a year
University Grants Commission conducts NET twice a year. The responsibility of conducting the examination is done by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and this examination is held twice a year in June and December. Negative marking is also done in this computer-based national entrance examination.
यूजीसी के अध्यक्ष प्रोफेसर एम जगदीश कुमार ने बताया कि छह सालों के बाद यूजीसी नेट परीक्षा के सिलेबस में बदलाव किया जा रहा है। यूजीसी काउंसिल की 3 नवंबर को हुई बैठक में सिलेबस के बदलाव को मंजूरी मिली है।
विश्वविद्यालयों में सहायक प्रोफेसर बनने और जूनियर रिसर्च फेलोशिप (जेआरएफ) के लिए राष्ट्रीय पात्रता प्रवेश परीक्षा (नेट) के सिलेबस में छह साल के बाद बदलाव होने जा रहा है। विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग (यूजीसी) के विशेषज्ञों ने राष्ट्रीय शिक्षा नीति (एनईपी) 2020 के तहत यूजीसी नेट परीक्षा के सभी 83 विषयों का नया सिलेबस तैयार कर लिया है। यूजीसी काउंसिल ने भी इसे मंजूरी दे दी है। अगले साल जून की नेट से इसे लागू किए जाने की संभावना है।
वर्ष 2017 में हुआ था बदलाव : प्रोफेसर कुमार ने बताया कि इससे पहले वर्ष 2017 में यूजीसी नेट के सिलेबस में बदलाव किया गया था। इसके बाद नई शिक्षा नीति लागू हुआ, इसलिए एनईपी के तहत यूजीसी नेट का सभी 83 विषयों का नया सिलेबस तैयार किया गया है। विशेषज्ञों की समिति ने नए सिलेबस में बहुविषयक दृष्टिकोण और समग्र शिक्षा पर ध्यान केंद्रित किया है।
साल में दो बार होती है परीक्षा
विश्वविद्यालय अनुदान आयोग साल में दो बार नेट आयोजित करता है। परीक्षा कराने की जिम्मेदारी नेशनल टेस्टिंग एजेंसी (एनटीए) करती है और यह परीक्षा साल में दो बार जून और दिसंबर में होती है। कंप्यूटर आधारित इस राष्ट्रीय प्रवेश परीक्षा में निगेटिव मार्किंग भी की जाती है।
