I have interacted with some people and realized that majority of people complain all the time with some or the other issue. It is ok to vex out your frustration sometimes but it should not become a habit. Whatever you do repeatedly over a period of time becomes your habit. You study repeatedly ,studying becomes habit. Similarly you complain all the time, your mind gets occupied with complaints, thus becomes a habit. Just to remind you something before you complain about anything, there exists 313 million illiterates in India, 38 percent children are malnourished and 21 percent are wasted. They are deprieved of basic dignities , and we , despite possessing decent house and necessary digital infrastructure at place, still complain about something or the other. There exist 2 evils in everyone’s lives, one is internal and the other is external. Most of us internally chained ourselves by evils present in mind and soul due to fear of failure and externally chained by peer pressure, competition and ill socialization. We should understand that even our birth was a competitive one, we fought with millions of sperms to get succeed and take birth, we were not afraid of competition then. We are already winners by birth, and each time we lose something we learn something out of it. Remember we did not give up the first time we fall while attempting to walk as a child. We were not afraid then to give one more attempt to walk , yet as a grown up we are made to fear for every damn thing. The fears in you cut your wings and paralyze you as a person. With JRF or without , we should not give up the fighting spirit in our lives .Remember JRF can never be an end, it can be a means to fulfil depending upon your desires. I believe each person who is aspiring to become a research fellow should understand the importance of accepting failures. No innovation in the world ever took place with a single attempt and no innovation in future would take a single royal attempt to give the desired fruits. There will be many hurdles in your research and you are bound to fail if you aspire to achieve something big. The most recent example could be seen from the failure of Chandrayan-2 , where ISRO could not locate the lander. ISRO is now gearing up for not only for Chandrayan-3 but also for a manned mission which would transform the way world would look at India. Therefore I suggest do not let the spirit ,which was there in you as a child , to die down. Let the child in you always flourish, spread a bit of optimism around you and help other flourish too. Coming back to this exam, I would say you to master intelligent guessing rather than trying to know everything. I got to know about the pattern of the examination in the examination hall itself. I am currently pursuing 2nd year of MA in political science from IGNOU. This is the first time I appeared for the exam without any preparation(Though I have been preparing for UPSC and gave 3 interviews in my 3 attempts and gearing up for my next mains ,which is due to happen in January 2021). In long term I wanted to some kind of research which could help humanity to become more rational and overcome the internal inadequacies. With UPSC or without I would help the humanity once I settled down myself in a stable environment.
