Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati, an Institute of National Importance, has announced Admission to Post-Doctoral Fellowship (IPDF) program for the academic year 2024-25. Both Indian (N-IPDF) and Foreign Nationals (F- IPDF) are eligible to apply for IPDF.
Key Dates:
Completed online applications in all respects received in the Research & Development section (R&D), IIT Guwahati on or before 02 September 2024 (Monday), 5.00 PM will be considered for the selection process.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA:
PhD degree holders with first class or equivalent in preceding degree and having consistently a good academic record
From the PhD work, minimum 2 (Two) research publications in peer-reviewed journals. For CS and CLST Department/Centre: minimum 2 (Two) research publications in peer-reviewed journals/Reputed Conference Proceedings
Not completed 3 (Three) years from the date of PhD defense to IPDF application submission deadline.
IPDF tenure is initially for one year and may be extended till the 2nd year based on the performance. No extension will be given to IPDF beyond 2 years term at IIT Guwahati.

The IPDFs are eligible for the following:
Fellowship Amount:
o 1st year per month Fellowship will be consolidated Rs. 60,000 + 18% HRA.
o An annual increment of Fellowship up to Rs.5000/- based on satisfactory performance as per the assessment report of the PAC.
o Contingency grant Rs. 50,000/- per year on pro-rata basis.
