The Prime Minister’s Research Fellowship (PMRF) scheme is aimed at attracting the talent pool of the country to doctoral (Ph.D.) programmes of Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Indian Institutes of Science Education & Research (IISERs), Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Central Universities (which are among the top 100 National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF ranked universities) for carrying out research in cutting edge science and technology domains, with focus on national priorities.
Applicants who fulfill the eligibility criteria, and are finally selected through a selection process, will be offered admission to Ph.D. programme in one of IISc/IISERs/IITs and Central Universities (which are among the top 100 National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF ranked universities) with a fellowship of Rs.70,000/- per month for the first two years, Rs.75,000/- per month for the 3rd year, and Rs.80,000/- per month in the 4th and 5th year. Apart from this, a research grant of Rs.2.00 lakh per year will be provided to each of the Fellows for a period of 5 years to cover their academic contingency expenses and for foreign/national travel expenses.

The Maulana Azad National Fellowship for Minority Students is formulated and funded by Ministry of Minority Affairs. The scheme is open to candidates who
belong to one of the Minority Community i.e. Muslim, Sikh, Parsi, Buddhist & Christian and wish to pursue higher studies such as regular and full time
M.Phil/Ph.D. degrees in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology. There are 756 slots every year for all the subjects. 3% fellowships are reserved for Physically Handicapped candidates belonging to Minority Candidates as per provision laid down by the Government of India
National Fellowship (NF) Scheme for Scheduled Caste NFSC is formulated and funded by Ministry of Social Justice &Empowerment. The scheme is open to candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste and are pursuing higher studies such as regular and full time M.Phil.and Ph.D.degrees in Sciences, Humanities, Social Sciences and Engineering & Technology. There are 2000 slots for Scheduled Caste every year for all the subjects. 3% fellowships are reserved for Persons with Disabilities candidates belonging to SC categories as per provision laid down by the Government of India. Mam MANUU se jo Minority students ko fellowship milti h wo sirf CENTRAL University ya STATE University wale students ko bhi milti h? Isliye ki main URDU se NET qualified hon aur M. Phil k liye DU. apply kiya tha but selection nahi hua to soch raha hon ki agar state university wale students ko mile to kisi state university main admission le lon. Please reply mam

Mam.. ugc published list of students eligible for national fellowship of SC. But many students roll number are not in list who qualified NET in june19&dec.19.
We also don’t know what’s the methodology to selecting candidates. Many students enrolled in PhD but now there rollnumber is not in list. If u have any information plz share.
