Now Students can Pursue 2 degree courses simultaneously

“The proposal was approved within the recent commission meeting for simultaneous twin degrees for college students in India, permitting students to finish courses within the same or totally different streams at identical time. one among the 2 degrees, however, has got to be through regular mode and also the different has got to be through on-line distance learning,” UGC Secretary Rajnish religion aforementioned.

However, one among the 2 degrees can have to be compelled to be pursued through regular mode and also the different has got to be through on-line distance learning (ODL).

Idea for 2 simultaneous degree courses rejected in 2012
The UGC had last year discovered a panel headed by its chairperson, Bhushan Patwardhan, to look at the problem of following 2 degree programmes at the same time from identical university or totally different universities either through distance mode, on-line mode or part-time mode.

A student can pursue two programmes simultaneously through distance mode or combination of distance and regular modes from the same or different Universities / Institutions in various combinations, viz

 

1. One Degree and one Diploma/ P G Diploma/ Certificate
2. One P G Diploma and one Diploma/ Certificate
3. One Diploma and one Certificate
4. Two P G Diplomas
5. Two Diplomas
6. Two Certificates

7. 2 degrees, however, has got to be through regular mode and also the different has got to be through on-line distance learning,
