The University Grants Commission (UGC) is set to launch the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP), aimed at addressing the skill gap between academic learning and industry demands. Students may be eligible for stipends under the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) or the Apprentices Act, 1961, depending on the partnership.
